Frame Format
|
This site is divided into two frames: Navigator Frame and Content Frame. To
activate a frame, you must click somewhere within that frame.
A scroll bar may appear on the right-hand side of a frame if all the material
will not fit within the viewing space. The scroll bar will only scroll the
frame in which it appears.

Navigator Frame
|
The green, left-hand frame is the Navigator Frame which lists the major sections of this Website. You might consider this the "roadmap" of the module. The Navigator Frame may have its own scroll bar which will affect only the material located
in the Navigator Frame.

Content Frame
|
The white, right-hand frame is the Content Frame which is where you can view the various pages of the module.

Links
|
There are two types of hyperlinks within the module:
(1.)Internal links--which are bold and non-Italicized; these link to other pages within the module.
Example Internal Link
(2.)Outside links--which are non-bold and Italicized; these link to other Websites.
Example Outside Link
When you connect to an outside link, you will leave the Content Frame of the
module and the Navigator Frame may no longer be visible.
To return to the Insect Zoo Website, you must click on the "Back"
button of your browser's toolbar or use an alternate method of returning to
the previous page.

Worksheets/Handouts
|
Several activities within this site have worksheets/handouts which may be
downloaded. To download these worksheets/handouts, you need to use Adobe
Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded free of charge. If you do not
have this application, download it now.
Printer settings need to be made according to the layout of the worksheet.
Choose between "landscape" or "portrait" settings.
Portrait settings print out 8 1/2 x 11; landscape settings print out 11 x 8 1/2.
Look at the "Sample Worksheets/Handouts" listed in the Curriculum
Resources to see what the layout looks like for the Worksheet/Handout you have
selected to download.
