"Insects won't inherit the earth; they own it now." T. Eisner
at The National Museum of Natural History
There are more insects in more places on the planet than any other living creatures. Although they outnumber us 200 million to one, insects rarely harm humans beyond the occasional bee sting or mosquito bite. In many cases they even benefit us. Come learn how, over millions of years, insects have managed to flourish everywhere from icy oceans to tropical rain forests, hot deserts to freshwater ponds.
